If the park was built in wascana, everybody would use the redbricks and ledge double 3 set like it was part of the park, some of you might think that “hey if they build a park in wascana, nobody will bother leaving for the redbricks or leaving for the ledge”… NOT TRUE, no matter how many ppl think right now they wont skate the reds and ledge if they build a park there will end up going to the redbricks and ledge simply because they are 2 of the top street skate spots in regina, and the city does NOT want skaters near there, that simple.

Wow, they are two very good spots. But sorry to all those who oppose, but id have to say Wascana. Though this will be a plaza built for skateboarders, this will also be a plaza for everyone to enjoy. I think wascana would be awsome cause its a beautiful park, and easy to find. Its got lots of shade, and probably a new feature to the newly designed Wascana park.
Other great reason would be that this park is going to be dedicated to eddy lugt. People would understand that this park is more than a park, its concrete layed down for the best skater to ever skate in Regina.

They want to park it out east of the Science Centre by the bird sanctuary, which is making the environmentalists go nutty and yell at me for wanting to put my urchin near their birds. Actually, they don’t yell, they’re nice bird-loving people, but they aren’t gonna back down. Personally, I don’t think the birds themselves would notice, there’s so much other stuff there already.
By the way, the leader post reported it wrong – there are actually 3 sites being considered, not 2. The other is South Kinsman Park, also a nice spot. But at this point telling each other what you want isn’t going to help. The big question isn’t so much where anymore, but IF. So IF you want a skatepark, wherever, you better send an email right away to mailto:skateboardpark@regina.ca and tell the city, because they need to hear it. And come to city hall on March 22, 15th floor, 4 p.m. because there’s a very real chance some politicians might get weak in the knees and make no decision at all, if they think not many people care about having a new skatepark.

Wascana 4 sure. I live in milestone and ive never even heard of any goddamn les sherman and i know that im not the only 1 who hasnt heard of it
