Hi-jinx on the Ferry to Van Island

Hey there Tiki peeps! So I’ve moved out to the west coast again and just thought I would send you some skatepark pics and other random stuff. I’ve been on Vancouver Island for a while, but I’m currently living out in Surrey being a tourist and looking for work. Recently I went to the plaza in Vancouver and sure enough I ran into some Regina rippers Kevin and Danny (sorry no pics). Danny was telling me that Karl’s injured, but I hope to see him out soon. I will be back in Regina for the second week of June and hope to see everyone at Tiki or at the Regina plaza.

The indoor is getting going through some changes and will be closed until further notice. Check back in too see when it opens up for the fall/winter.

We got some new apparel from Nike, Altamont, es and Emerica this week. Charlie was in the store and showed me the new Trilltage promo on youtube, you might want to check it out ! Plus there is a promo for the Plan B Video on their site thats worth checking out, more to come soon…

Just a reminder that on top of all the SALE pro decks we have alot of new wood in too. A collaboration series from Antihero and Girl, plus the video “Beauty and the Beast” showcasing a tour video of both teams. Some other wood from companies like Black Label, Zero, Santa Cruz, Creature, Real, Krooked, Plan B, Almost, Expedition, DGK, Consolidated, Baker and a few Reissue Decks that some of us oldies are into.

New to the bearing market, Spitfire has come out with 2 types. Me and Dave are testing them out right now and are both quite pleased, plus new wheels from them too. As always we have lots of new clothing from RDS, DC, Volcom, Element, LRG and Matix…Also we have lots of new shoes from all our brands coming in each week. I will try to keep you updated on all that keeps coming in, see you at the shop! 

The indoor park is now open just in time for the first snowfall. Thanks to lots of people for their help with setting up…Hope everyone enjoys the new surfacing and eventually we will have a few new things to skate. See you at the indoor !

Thank you Shane, Mike L, C-Mac and last but not at all the least, Noel for the annual indoor park move. I know its summer and easy to ignore the indoor park, but we should try and remember that the indoor is likely the most important of all the parks in the city. Imagine a winter without it? Hopefully we will see more turn out for the move back into the park. See you there…we will keep you updated on when we will move the ramps back in.

I need a good sign for the east end bank ledge and I gotta remember to bring ear plugs to shows.

I apologize for taking so long to post… just getting settled back into the QC. Here are some things I’m stoked on. In point form and no particular order.

- The north park after 9pm
- Bike rides and brews

- Of course I’m really stoked to be back here at TIKI
